In addition to her own art, d'Arcy was a trailblazing art educator, ascending from the UCLA and Columbia arts faculty in the 1950s to the post of head of arts and culture in UNESCO from 1960-1980, traveling solo to over 130 countries. She was arguably the most powerful states(wo)man of the art world in history and can be seen below both in her studio, at shows and with many heavy hitters of the 20th century art world.
